Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

While certain reasons for pregnancy (i.e. rape) are tragic, life unequivocally begins at conception. We should protect all life. The only exception that should be provided would be when the life of the mother or baby is unfortunately jeopardized due to a problem pregnancy (thankfully an extremely rare occurrence these days). Any decision to end the pregnancy in this instance should be decision between the doctor and the mother and the father.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

One of the major ways to eradicate the threat of radical terrorism is to not import radicals. We should only be allowing immigrants into the country who are productive for society and agree with and want to live with and support the ideals of America - starting with the Constitution and our laws.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Man has the propensity to take power too far. Kings and dictators do not work for freedom and self-governance; they want to control the people. The idea behind the limitations in the Constitution was to limit the power and control of the government over the individual to provide the country's citizen maximum freedom and prosperity.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the Holy Scripture and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at the age of 17. My values are formed from scripture like the Ten Commandments and the Fruits of the Spirit. I believe God, thru His word, has provided the direction we need to live our lives and how we are to lead others.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Having been unemployed in 2012-2013, due to down-sizing, I discovered that government regulation and health insurance companies are the main obstacle to affordable and accessible care. For instance, with insurance, one of the vaccinations for my daughter would have been billed at about $80. However, with no insurance, we qualified for the $10 version of the same vaccine. If we want great healthcare in America, we have to get the government and big, crony-business out of the way and put the control back into the hands of the consumer and the doctor. This will allow sensible solutions in healthcare to thrive and bring about affordable and accessible care for all.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government's best role towards boosting the economy is to stay out of the way. Regulations and taxes should be minimal. We are seeing now the positive impacts that reducing taxes and regulations can have on the economy. We will see even more economic increases if we can eliminate more government meddling.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

The tax code should be made as simple and minimal as possible. Tax policy should not be made to pick winners and losers in the marketplace. We should have the lowest level tax rates in the world for individuals and companies. This can't be accomplished without also limiting the size of the government.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to reduce unemployment is to reduce the size and scope of government. Small businesses will start when it's easy to do so. Employers will hire more people when they have to pay less in taxes (and less in managing governmental regulations) and can pay to hire more people. Reagan's policies proved this and Trump is proving this again, today.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The first step is to get the government under control and make sure we aren't using Social Security as a government slush fund. S.S. receipts should be untouchable for anything but S.S. The next step is to work on a way to keep the fund solvent while transitioning future generations to plans that are not dependent on the government for their retirement.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have many qualifications: - I'm married (13 years to my only wife) and a father to 3. - I have served on various boards and leadership positions of non-profit groups since I was a teen. - I have managed, globally, people and projects for 2 decades. - I have put together and managed multi-million-dollar project budgets and have been responsible for millions of dollars in revenue. - I have been a consistent voice for social, fiscal and Constitutional conservatives for the past decade. I have proven to stand on my promises and convictions. - I have been part of a local group that has saved taxpayers millions of dollars. - I desire to see the size and scope of government decreased and will only vote for the reduction in the size and scope of it. We must work for greater freedom in our great country.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I stand firm on my beliefs, principles and values. My God is my rock, not the winds of societal change. My wife and I volunteer at our church and other civic organizations (we have band kids) and we financially support local and world wide organizations (i.e. Columbus's Pregnancy Decision Health Center, Columbus Right to Life, Compassion International, and Watoto - to name a few). Let me expand upon my answer to question 4. Government should not be in the marriage business as marriage is ordained and conferred by the church, not the government. That said, I Strongly Agree that the government should protect, defend and help the family grow. A solid family is built with a husband/father and wife/mother and is the foundation of society.
