Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If there is an assault where the victim becomes pregnant, abortion should be allowed at the victim's discretion.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

To provide a checked and balanced democratic infrastructure that allows an individual or entity freedom to operate within a governing body but also protection from crime and harmful factors.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a proud Father, Businessman, and Christian. I take responsibility for the injustices that go on around me and have vowed to resolve the root of these issues.

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Top Priority Issues (www.craigcarterfortexas.com) Put a stop to illegal immigration. No amnesty. No exceptions. Provide our students & teachers with the tools they need to succeed. Grow our economy & spur new job creation. Implement serious property tax reforms that protect homeowners. Protect the lives of unborn children. Defend the 2nd Amendment rights of gun owning Texans. Crack down on our state’s growing drug & gang epidemic. Rated A by TSRA.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Provide better and more accessible on-the-job-training and resources for those who have limited skills or education. Also, job creation would be spurred on by supporting local businesses and tax bases with increased lending options and tax incentives.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare providers, just like other industry business owners, have the right and responsibility to the public to have competitive market pricing for healthcare regardless of government involvement. Incentives and certain criteria can be put together to ensure that everyone has access and a right to treatment.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government has a responsibility to make sound investments and steward tax money appropriately and frugally.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

We don’t have nearly enough blue collar leaders committed to doing the heavy lifting for middle class families. That’s why I am running — to bring a working man’s approach to our state government. That means rolling up my sleeves and focusing on improving schools, passing property tax reforms and growing our economy. It’s time we provide hope and a brighter future for everyday working families.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

We have a lot of career politicians in the Texas Senate, but not nearly enough blue collar leaders committed to doing the heavy lifting for middle class families. That’s why I am running -- to bring a working man’s approach to our state government. That means rolling up my sleeves and focusing on improving schools, passing property tax reforms and growing our economy. If you think it’s time we provide hope and a brighter future for everyday working families, I would be honored to have your vote.
