Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Strongly Agree

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

Strongly Agree

Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions until they are economically feasible.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In the very rare case where the health of the mother and child is at stake, and this is very rare indeed, then a doctor and patient should decide on the appropriate medical intervention and or treatment. In this case, procedures are purposefully intended to save life, not take it.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

I believe our Founding Fathers understood the depravity of mankind and our fallen nature which easily succombs to temptation. Power, greed, deceit are all symptomatic of the fallen nature of man. The founders created the separation of powers and 'checks and balances' to prevent the consolidation of power.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an evangelical Christian, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. I place my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and him alone as my savior. His sacrifice for me on the cross is the sole basis for my redemption and salvation. His death, burial and resurrection is the reason I have confidence that I am a child of God and have hope for life after death. I pattern my life now after Scriptural teaching and seek to walk in the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have been faithfully wed in holy matrimony to the same woman for 38 years; we have six children and nine grandchildren. I enlisted at age 17 in the military to defend the country I love and keep it free. I retired honorably from the Coast Guard with the rank of Captain, having earned the the Legion of Merit award for my role in re-organizing the Coast Guard in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attack. I am A-rated by the NRA, of which I am a Life Member, as well as a concealed-carry permit holder. I also have a successful track record as a businessman.

Additional comment from candidate:

The immense damage to our Republic has come from career politicians who cherish their re-election above their sacred oath to the Constitution, and are thus subservient to well-heeled special interests that stuff their campaign war chests with vast sums of money. We must elect men and women who support term limits and vow to limit their own terms. Only then will the people be served by altruistic lawmakers whose foremost concern is the Constitution and the principles upon which our nation was built.
