The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Before 3 months, otherwise on a case by case basis and in risk of life of mother. You cannot legislate morality, it causes only hypocrisy as we have seen far too often from our Legislators.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

America's Founders spent quite some time developing the Constitution. The Constitution we know now is actually the second such document. The initial document was known as the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union. Then, taking what they had learned over the intervening decade, they created the Constitution we now know. The basis of this document are the rights given by God to all men: The opportunity for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am Jewish. My mother converted from Catholicism to Judaism after marrying her second husband. Her first husband was also Jewish. I do not know my genetic father as my mother had been raped when she was 13. I had lost my faith for quite a long time until I came back to it about 8 years ago. Since that time I have made sure to attend Synagogue for the High Holy Holidays and observe the Sabbath on my own. I am deeply faithful and am extremely well read in my religious history, it having always been a passion of mine in the pursuit of knowledge. Knowledge of the works of God and study in the Torah helped bring out the best qualities in my own self. This being said, I respect all people of faith. Above all else I believe that we should respect others as God and Jesus have asked of us, no matter what they believe. Nor do I believe in pushing a personal faith upon another.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Additional comment from candidate:

Dear Reader, I'm like most people, I never fit into the "Professional" world. I prefer a dive bar to the local trendy spot. I like camping rather than going to a 5 star hotel. I drink beer. I shout at the TV when the Saints mess up. I go to concerts rather than orchestras. I was an enlisted man, not an officer. Hard work was always its own reward to me. Despite this, I'm educated as a Mathematician and an Economist. I'm a nerd. Deeply knowledgeable about Financial Markets and Commerce, I provide a unique opportunity for Louisiana to elect someone who will make a difference and bring new ideas and innovations, founded in economic reality of the challenges we face. I'm not here to collect a paycheck, I'm here to help build a future for our children. I'm not just saying there's something better, I'm ready to show it to you. I will never let the people of Louisiana down. I'm here to fight for you. Please look at my vision. http://www.danilfaust.com/a-future-worth-fighting-for
