Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Any decision regarding medical procedures is between a patient and his or her physician. Decisions are driven by considerations both personal and impersonal. My own view, unless it is my decision to make, is completely uninformed regarding personal or family factors, and impersonal considerations are secondary in most cases. The health, vitality, and quality of life for the mother and child, not to mention the role (or absence) of a father figure, are considerations no law can prescribe. Any legislation concerning women's health or reproductive rights should be weighted toward ease of access, safety, quality of care, and confidentiality. Abortions should only be allowed in clinical settings, when both the doctor and the woman have come to terms with the procedure in question.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Faith checked by doubt, balanced by a need for means of reconciliation, are the human impulses which caused the framers of the constitution to create our system of separated powers, limited by checks and balances. The Legislative, the Judicial, and the Executive branches of government were intended to both liberate a majority and protect a minority, in an effort to be careful and intentional in regards to communal living. The best and the worst in the nature of mankind were the cause of this.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I give God thanks and praises all over the country. I mean to do no harm to others. I am of the religious left, as I follow Jesus yet have divergent political views from the religious right.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
