Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions until they are economically feasible.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with public funds.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am strongly pro-life. I am the lead sponsor of a bill in Congress now to define all human life as beginning at conception. As a student in college, I ran my pro-life group called the Dartmouth Coalition for Life.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Founders of our country were wise to make sure that too much power was not consolidated in one person or entity. We are a country where the government serves the people, not the other way around. As a Member of Congress, I believe our legislative branch of government needs to assert itself much more forcefully again an out of control executive in President Obama.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe God calls us all in different ways. My way to serve others right now is as a Member of Congress and I seek to answer God's call to continue in that role. My mother lost her home country of Cuba when she was 21 years old and fled to America. Our values of freedom and respect for religion has allowed us to prosper since our founding. It is crucial every patriotic American do his part to defend our traditional Judeo-Christian values. My father, a feisty Irishman from New York, served in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star as a Captain in the Army. He raised me to fight for our country as he did.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have a solid conservative voting record as a Member of Congress of which I am proud. Also, as a State Senator for twelve years, I never once voted to raise taxes. I am proud to have resisted the constant pressures to raise taxes. Therefore, I have a proven record against big government. My A+ rating from the NRA was earned through actively defending the Second Amendment. I have also been endorsed by The Family Research County and Eagle Forum and other pro-family individuals and organizations.

Additional comment from candidate:

With your support, I will continue to fight for conservative values in Congress. It is more important now than ever that we have men and women who understand how Blessed we are as a country to serve in elected office. I have a proven conservative voting record and need your help to continue to defend and promote free markets and traditional values which make American the greatest nation in the world. I answered disagree to number 13 because the Constitution gave us a Republic, not a "pure democracy". The Constitution certainly does establish the rule of law which is precious and equally protects all citizens from their government.
