The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe life begins at conception.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Greed as well as lust for absolute power and control. Despotism.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe Jesus Christ is who he said he was. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God and spent time on this earth, suffered, died and rose from the dead to absolve me and the rest of mankind who trust and believe him from our sins before God. My value’s are the Judeo-Christian values instilled in me from my parent’s and ancestors who formed the United States of America. America the greatest country in the history of mankind because of the original values on which the Constitution is based. I am running for Congress because I am concerned about the future of America and that our value’s are being trampled on by the media along with the current democrat messaging machine. I am committed to fighting that messaging machine and defending our traditional American Values and returning America to greatness.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I pushed for property tax reduction when I ran for Mayor, and helped defeat a ridiculously expensive, publicly funded commuter rail proposal supported by the Mayor of Austin and the democrats, I did this by using my media exposure during the campaign to help defeat the project. I also was attacked by liberals and atheist activists when I called for the introduction of nation wide teacher led voluntary prayer in public schools. I did this during various television interviews that are searchable on the web. My goal by doing this and if it is to become policy is to bring God back into the discussion. Many on the left have sought to remove God from the discussion altogether as a strategy. We have the right to religious expression in any publicly funded institution. I also use as many opportunities as possible to defend the Second Amendment and resist government over reach such as bag bans and over regulation on industry. This is evident in my many recorded debates that are searchable from

Additional comment from candidate:

Illegals head back home or face prosecution, No more lifelong politicians, Out Maneuver the democrat messaging machine. Be Christian with no apologies. Love and support Israel. Be a champion for the Second Amendment. My name is Todd Phelps and I am a Fifth generation Texan. I come from a farming and ranching family. I have a wonderful set of parents and family. It is because of the people I love that I am concerned. I am concerned about the future of America. I intend to turn the tables on the democrats by messaging conservative values and bringing in younger voters to the conservative principles of self reliance, self determination and keeping government out of our lives. The estimate is that in the near future, 35% of the vote will be cast by millennials. If we do not get that vote to the conservative side, America as we know it is doomed. That is why I am asking for your support. I am asking for you to ask your friends to contribute and help me at www.ToddPhelpsForCongress.com
