I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To prevent the death of the mother.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Founders understood that the lust for power must be controlled by forcing governments to closely adhere to narrowly-defined rolls that limit the exercise of power.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values and belief system come from my Christian faith. I have been a lifelong and active participant in the life of my church. I am currently working with other church leaders to develop programs at the church that will inspire new generations to make faith a stronger part of their life. This effort is particularly important at a time when Christianity and its institutions are being challenged in society. Our institutions of faith are struggling to break through the distractions of modern culture and sustain our faith in God as the truest and strongest foundation for the life of our Nation and its citizens.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have been a lifelong activist in the Republican Party and have worked to inspire a new generation of grassroots conservatives. I was elected a delegate to nearly every Republican state party convention in the past 12 years and have volunteered on many campaigns to keep conservatives in office. I have worked with leading Republicans to fight for stronger national security, including service on the White House national security staff. I have worked to advance the goals of conservatism through leadership in numerous organizations including service on the board of the Houston chapter of The Federalist Society, the nation’s preeminent association of conservative lawyers.
