Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and believe that He is the promised Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the whole world. He is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven and is ruling and reigning over all of creation. As His follower, it is the passion of my life to be a reflector of His character and nature in the earth and to serve as His ambassador compelling men to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have been actively involved in conservative, Christian, pro-life, pro-family political activism since 1980. I served as Director of Communications for the Texas Christian Coalition, working with churches and leaders to help them engage in the political process. I was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to lead three different state agencies, the Texas Ethics Commission, the Texas Youth Commission, and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. I was appointed as chair of the Youth Commission and the Juvenile Justice Department (a role I still serve in). I was elected to one term on the State Republican Executive Committee and as a delegate to three Republican National Conventions. I am endorsed by Texans for Life -- Life PAC, Texas Alliance for Life PAC, and Carol Everett (Founder and Pres. of the Heidi Group). I am also endorsed by Dr. Jimmy Draper, former President of the Southern Baptist Convention and former President of Lifeway Christian Stores, and Dr. Jim Garlow, Skyline Wesleyan.

Additional comment from candidate:

My wife, Tammy, and I are 36 year residents of this district. We have lived here, worked here, and raised three children here. We are committed to making our community the kind of community the residents are proud to call home. I'm running for State Representative because I believe I can represent our community effectively in Austin. My experience, relationships developed over decades of service, temperament, and decorum will provide our district with distinctive and proven leadership. I would be honored to have your support and your vote.
