The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

While I support all measures to prevent abortion, I believe that the abortion issue is a states rights issue and not a federal government issue. The true problem with our nation is with the federal government's effort to override the rights of states. This is true when it comes to education, healthcare, and environment. I am a firm believer in the 10th Amendment and believe our Senate and Congress need to do more to expand and protect the rights of states.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

It is the Natural Rights of man to be free. And our Constitution was written to protect those freedoms from the tyranny of individuals and the majority.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a life long Lutheran. I have a strong faith, but know that religious liberty means all have the right to worship (or not worship) in their own way. We must realize the religious freedom is not freedom from religion. And Religion is a part of our society and culture and cannot nor should it be censored. Understanding people's faith is a good way to i,prove your understanding people.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I am strong defender of individual liberty. I believe in the right to own property. I advocate for a small and limited government. I despise crony capitalism and support the idea of term limits. I believe hard work and good decision making is the key to success in all aspects of life.

Additional comment from candidate:

I am a life long resident of Oregon's First Congressional District. I am a strong passionate conservative who believes the government that governs least, governs best. I believe money has no place in politics, so I am self funding my campaign and am refusing to accept donations. The concept is simple, I want your vote, not your money.
