Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

All life is precious, even when created under adverse or evil conditions. I cannot condone abortion as it is God who inspires life and only He should take it. In the cases of rape and incest, there can be good that comes of something tragic. The baby that is created due to these circumstances had no role to play in it's creation and should not be punished for how it came to be. There are always families willing to adopt a baby. I believe that they would not care about how the baby came to be, only that the baby is here and deserves the life with which it has been given.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The founders knew that power corrupts and so set up boundaries, limits and checks to ensure that the country they envisioned would be free of an oppressive, heavy handed government. This new government would be of and by and for the American people so that they could live in freedom and in a prosperity of their own making.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church. I follow the Catechism as set forth by Scripture, our tradition and the Magisterium of the Church. Though I believe in the teachings of the Church, I don't always believe in those who run the Church and claim to speak for her. On more than a few occasions, I have disagreed with what had been proclaimed by these "holy men". I believe that the Church sets a high moral standard of living in the world to which we should all aspire. Knowing that the standard is high, the Church also knows that it is a goal which we may never achieve. We may stumble, we may fall, but the Church teaches forgiveness and encourages us to get up, keep going and try harder to live as Christ would have us.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

Since I have no prior voting record with which to measure my conservatism, one would have to judge by what I have lived my life doing. Creating and working a small business, volunteering with the Boy Scouts and in ministry as an ordained Deacon in my church. These are areas that I have been interested and participated in and they have shaped my person, my character and my moral standard.

Additional comment from candidate:

I am a free market, small government candidate concerned about the over reach of our federal government in recent years. I am determined to unseat a career, establishment politician who refuses to vote in the best interests of the voters in his district and the American taxpayers. I will not vote for a budget that increases our national debt, funds any type of amnesty for people who broke the law to come to our country or which funds Obamacare. This "law" is a travesty and the greatest example of government abusing it's power that we've ever seen and it should be repealed and replaced with a common sense, conservative plan that will reduce costs and increase care and truly gives people choices as to how to procure their own healthcare. We should do everything we can as a nation to secure our borders. It is the responsibility of the government to protect our citizens from the influx of drugs and from people who seek to do our country harm.
