What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Human nature tends to pursue selfish interests, and political history is replete with such pursuits through "government" action at the expense of citizens. The Founders defined, limited and separated the powers in the Constitution so that the collective tendencies of each governmental body could not overpower the other and so each would be dependent partially on the other, thereby weakening the power of government against citizens.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am unaware of any circumstances under which an abortion should be allowed. Rape, incest and risk of mother's life each present difficult and heart-wrenching emotional situations which are nearly without equal. However, my most examined thoughts and beliefs compel me to assert that a person exists at conception. A life at any stage is entitled to the rights and protections afforded by the Constitution. An unborn life is innocent of wrongdoing, and as such warrants protection under all circumstances.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My publicly available track record includes without limitation over twenty years of marriage, nearly eighteen years of practicing law, nearly fourteen years as a father, my life-long interactions with people, and my reputation.

Additional comment from candidate:
I want to serve the people of Logan, Todd and Warren counties as their state representative, and do so with integrity and commitment. Our Commonwealth has suffered for decades from failed liberal priorities and policies. Kentuckians have suffered the effects of the failures in their finances, education, health, services and the lack of trust in their legislative representatives. As state representative I will put Kentuckians first and put government to work for the people.
