What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Having lived under monarchy. America's Founders witnessed firsthand, that an individual with absolute power or to much power created an environment that allowed for tyranny. In my opinion, mankind thrives on exploring, thinking, creating and destroying. Without freedom, mankind can do none of these things. Freedom also allows for success and failure which in return brings progress and great ideals.

Additional comment from candidate:

I was born and raised in Monroe County where I grew up in a family with a strong work ethic and strong Christian values. I love this area and look forward to meeting and listening to the citizens within District 65. Together we can keep the great state of Indiana economically strong and fiscally responsible. I have firsthand experience regarding how new or updated laws affect everyone, and have worked with citizens, state, federal and local authorities in implementing and understanding the anticipated impacts of new or updated laws. I understand hard work, dedication and how to accomplish goals. I will also bring diplomacy, the strongest asset a person can have when seeking or holding any legislative position. Vote Jacob Franklin May 3, 2016 to be your strong voice at the State House.
