Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that life begins at conception and should be protected. If a circumstance was presented where the life of the mother was under threat I would want the mother to be able to make her own decision in that circumstance.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was Baptized at the age of 9 when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am an active member of my church and try to be faithful in my life and service to my Christian values. “My life has prepared me for public service. Following high school, I started working at the Indianapolis Police Department. After a break to serve in the United States Army, I returned to the force as an Indianapolis Police Officer and worked in a variety of roles. Upon completing my police service, I retired as Deputy Chief of Investigations. “For the past two decades, I’ve operated Jack Sandlin & Associates, a firm involved in fraud examination, private investigation and security consulting. I serve on the Boards of numerous civic organizations, and as an active member and Trustee at Southport Presbyterian Church. Since 2010, I’ve proudly served on the Indianapolis City-County Council.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I am an active participant in my community and serve on several not-for-profit boards. I was elected to two terms at the Perry Township Trustee and am in my second elected term on the Indianapolis City-County Council. I completed a career in the Indianapolis Police Department. There are many public sources of information available that would be consistent with the information I have outlined. My wife Lydia and I have been married for 41 years and lived in the same house in Indianapolis since 1983. We have one daughter and three grandchildren here in the community. I have consistently expressed my belief in limited government, lower taxes, and the protection of our community and individual freedoms.
