Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When it is necessary to save the life of the mother.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Power is corrupting, and the founders understood the importance of preventing too much power from falling into the hands of too few people. Man is an imperfect creature and limitations on the power of those in government is necessary in order to secure our liberties.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, and believe that the Bible is the word of God.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

For four years I served as president of the Nevada Policy Research Institute, a free-market think tank that promotes policy solutions rooted in the principles of limited government and individual liberty. Our commitment was always to those principles, never to any political party, and we would challenge Republicans and Democrats alike when they would stray from our nation's founding ideals -- often when doing so was difficult or unpopular.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you.

Additional comment from candidate:

I am a principled conservative who believes it is not enough simply to elect Republicans -- we need to elect statesmen who are committed to restoring the ideals that inspired our nation's founding.
