I come from a proud family raised by a father, a surgeon who never refused a patient for having no money or insurance. My mother told me how a cancer surgical patient wrote the newspaper, 'Thank God for Dr. Roco.' I emulated my father in counseling, and will follow his lead, in this run for U.S. Senate Hawaii. Standing up for what is right when a wave is up against you, as in SB1, creates fallout. Especially when there is a current of government overstepping and elitist laws being passed, it is important to make a voice heard. There are just a few, who have forced the rest of us to comply with what they want. We need a U.S. Senate from Hawaii who will, instead of pushing the rights of a few in our bathrooms and schools, and where ever else they choose, to stand up and say, "Enough is enough."
