15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Man is sinful, lustful, and apt to failure and thus our founders gave us a Republic, inspired by our Creator, that would provide checks and balances to prevent man rule.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

The Federal dept. of Education must be ended. Education should be and must be local. Healthcare must be between a patient and his/her doctor. There should be zero government involvement. The IRS has caused tyranny in the lives of Americans for some 100 years. We must end the IRS, repeal the 16th amendment, and institute the Fair Tax.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court, Media, Academia, Industry, Sports

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian; an evangelical. I believe that I was formed in my mother's womb by the Lord Jesus Christ and though born into sin He has saved me once I came to repentance through faith. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and governs my personal life. I understand that many people do not submit to that authority and I realize that the Bible allows them to make such a choice. As a member of the US Senate I will serve with God's Word as my principled foundation but will always realize that God allows each of us the liberty to accept or reject His Word. It is not the duty of the Federal government, or any man led government, to legislate morality.
