18. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

A historical review of all prior governmental systems provided perspective as to the universal governmental propensity to grow and assimilate power until ultimately the people served the government. Our US Constitution was founded in acknowledgement of the God given inalienable rights belonging to the individual, thereby limiting and subordinating the power of the US government to the consent of those it governed.

19. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Voters, Constitution, Congress & Supreme Court. Industry, media or professional sports hold only persuasive ability to sway public opinion.

20. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Abortion is wrong. When considering the guarantee of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, I wonder exactly how it is that we can guarantee liberty and the pursuit of happiness without first guaranteeing life.

21. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Roman Catholic.
