16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Healthcare is a huge issue for me. While I agree that everyone should have health insurance, I do not believe people should be forced to purchase insurance that they can't afford t avoid a fine that they can't afford, and then have coverage that they cannot afford to use. I think we need to take the parts of Obamacare that work and build from there Immigration needs to be enforced. If you are in this country illegally, you need to leave and apply to come back legally. While there is a need for immigrants in this country, the laws need to be enforced. If you are in this country illegally, then you broke the law. If you don't respect the laws of this country, why do you want to be here?

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Abortion is a difficult question to answer as there is no right answer and you cannot please everyone. I truly believe that people have to make the decision regarding abortion that is right for them. While I always believed that there was no child until after the first trimester, I recently learned during the birth of my grandson, that there is a child in the womb even during the first three months. That being said, I am always confronted by people with the bible when I said people have the right to choose, and as I point out to them, the Bible says thou shalt not judge others lest you be judged yourself. We will all have to answer someday to our maker, and if someone truly believes in the bible and what it teaches, then they cannot judge another's decision and must put it into the hands of their God. You cannot pick and choose what parts of the bible work for you on any given topic. You either believe or you don't
