15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The idea that any one person can become too powerful was a fear of our founding fathers. Separating powers ensured that the peoples voice can be heard over one.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

We need a strong military. We need to make sure that our military is capable of waging war anywhere in the world at a moments notice in defense of our country. In New York State property taxes are high and rising. Many families send their kids to private schools in an effort to improve the quality of education. When this happens we need to reevaluate the tax situation. Parents who are paying property taxes should be able to receive a tax break that will supplement the extra money they are paying in tuition. We need more transparency in the office of our elected officials. Congress has not gotten much done over the last few years. When this is happening we need to ensure that there offices are open books so the American public can hold them accountable for their actions.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Abortion should be allowed in the cases of incest or rape. When a woman is raped she must be able to have the option to have an abortion. This is not an unwanted pregnancy this is a forced pregnancy. Whether women take this option or not it must be afforded to them.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
