14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

POWER - power allows one to conquer, control, and pursue one's personal agenda. We have lost this balance of power through Executive orders and Supreme Court decisions based upon assumed powers that are not granted them by the Constitution.

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Life: Legislation alone will not put an end to abortion. We must get involved in our communities and meet these girls/women where they are and help them to realize that they can choose to have their babies. States Rights: Repeal of the 17th amendment, restore state legislators power in D.C. Today those who make, interpret, and enforce the law are not guided by the United States Constitution—the supreme law of the land—as it was originally written. Politicians in Washington today are only beholden to special interests groups not the States. Americans living in poverty: States and communities should have responsibility for poverty! Relying on Federal government to take care of us allows us to make poor decisions as a state. If West Virginia politicians were held accountable for our poor then they would be forced to encourage job growth and work harder to ensure our young people complete their high school education.

16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Only to save the life of the mother. I don't believe there is anything in a woman that wants to have an abortion... Being pregnant anticipating the birth of a child should be a wonderful moment in every woman's life unfortunately many women find themselves having to make the hardest decision of their life. Life is hard and many women find themselves in predicaments where they feel that they don't have a choice. If you look at the history of abortion there were thousands upon thousands of mothers who died while getting an illegal abortion out of desperation of one sort or another. I don't want mothers dying and I don't want babies dying. As I state on my website: Until broken hearts are healed through the saving grace of our loving Lord, we will continue to struggle with unwanted pregnancies. My challenge to you: Get involved in a young ladies life and help her to realize that she does have a choice in following through with her pregnancy.

17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual belief: (The Apostles' Creed) I believe in God, the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. My Values: Family: I love my wife, our 3 children. Life: I believe all life is to be cherished. Integrity: I treat integrity as if it is the only option. Authentic: I am open, transparent, and courageous in sharing with others who I am and what I believe. Compassionate: Genuinely concerned for others. “Values are not like laws – you cannot break them. You can only break yourself against them” – Mark Wright
