the nature of power to quest for more power. the nature of corruption to quest for power or the control of power. they counted on the interest of equally empowered branches to naturally desire to restrain the power of the other two branches. they also counted on the independent sovereign states to resist an over reaching federal government that was mandated to very limited powers. they were counting on the independent nature of Americans.

1. Enforce the enumerated powers. this should be a great budgeting tool and the roll back the unconstitutional expansion of government. 2. legislatively redefine the commerce clause (massively restricting government) 3. legislatively redefine the welfare clause (massively restricting government)
