18. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The Founding Fathers were explicit in their understanding of the fallen nature of man that would lead to treachery if any one person or group of individuals were entrusted with absolute power, or even too much power. Their intention was to create a system of checks and balances that would prevent the absolute corruption that comes with absolute power.

19. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court.

20. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Never. Life begins at conception. It is never right to place less value on an unborn child than any other life. Abortion is murder, it intentionally ends a life. There is no debate about that without being Biblically incorrect.

21. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe all mankind is born with a sinful nature that bears a sentence of eternal death and separation from God. God loved all mankind enough to offer us an eternal life with Him where no sin is allowed, but that offer requires the sin payment of death to be paid. God demonstrated His love toward us in sending His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be born of a virgin, live a sinless, pure life on earth and to die as a sacrificial Lamb, taking upon Himself all the sins of the world. Jesus rose from the dead to demonstrate the power of God over sin and death. God has offered all mankind the choice of accepting Jesus' death as payment for our sins and believing that, at the moment of our physical death, we will be set free from sin and it's power forever, but only if we make the individual choice to confess there is no other way but through Jesus' substitutionary death and resurrection. I've believed that and strive to live a Biblically-based, moral life that pleases God.
