16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Corruption. By establishing three branches of government and dividing powers between them, the founders made sure that no single body would be charged with making, enforcing and interpreting laws in a preferential and corrupt manner. The power of each branch is subject to checks and balances from the other two branches, theoretically establishing a system of fairness to all and avoiding tyranny of any single branch.

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

God, Constitution, Voters, Supreme Court, Congress

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have a Judeo-Christian worldview. I’m guided by my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have attended church at Fellowship Bible Church for the last 20 years with my wife and daughter. I serve in my church in various ways, including leading a community group and singing in our community choir. I am 100% Pro-Life. The right to life is so fundamental to this country that it was spelled out in our own Declaration of Independence. I believe life begins at conception and will always defend innocent unborn life. Arkansas statutes ban most abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy. As Attorney General, I’ll fight to uphold this and other pro-life laws.
