What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Griffin:   The Founding Fathers, the framers of the Constitution, wanted to form a government that did not allow one person to have too much authority or control. With this in mind the framers wrote the Constitution to provide for a separation of powers, or three separate branches of government.
McClain:   Man's inclination to be corrupted by power.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Griffin:   We must examine our conscience as to our worthiness to receive the body and blood of our Lord. The examination includes fidelity to the moral teachings of the Church in personal and public life. I do not misuse my Catholic teachings and sacramental practices for any political end. I strive to give daily to my faith, God and my fellow man.
McClain:   I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The bible is Gods inspired revelation to man and should be studied to guide us in our relationships with God and other humans.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Griffin:   Its the way I live... I only spend what is budgeted ..
McClain:   I have been an elected official since 2004 and my voting record is available to the public.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Griffin:   The creation and development of our free enterprise system.. We need to develop better trade schools as well as offer education to our youth to develop job skills that will carry them forward in a competitive market. The economics need to flow down as the top 5 percent is in control of the american funds with no trickle down.. In our area we are at a 35 percent plus poverty level and at the bottom of the states education rankings. Without a change we can not bring business into the county to promote higher wages and offers of employment.
McClain:   Through the promotion of policies that reduce regulation and taxation. This would allow businesses to have more dollars to use for expansion creating the need for more employees.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Griffin:   Medicare for those that qualify and a program similar to the Obama care allowing all medical conditions coverage.. The V.A. Program is working great for many at this time with the improvements.. All family members should have access to medical help who are families of Veterans living with a current qualified Veteran..
McClain:   Support policies that create more competition in the market place. Allowing more procedures to be done in the most cost effective setting. Promote policies that would allow for national standards that could be effectively administered to allow for providers to become licensed in other states more quickly.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Griffin:   Set out Programs that will get our youth to work and provide education programs similar to the Military..In addition reduce the hold back of regulations on companies that are not putting our environment at risk..
McClain:   The role of government should be one of adopting policies that allow the free market to thrive.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Griffin:   I have an extensive background.. A J.D. Degree along with my Military and Law Enforcement of 5 years and two law enforcement academies .. Two years Overseas during Viet Nam .. Own 3 businesses, one of which is an agro tourism horse ranch.. very involved with stepping in when those who do not see their self reflected in politics and government, yet need help and have no Idea whereto turn.
McClain:   I am a husband, father and grandfather. I am State Certified Contractor. Currently I am the COO of a growing real estate investment firm. I served on the Marion County Commission for 12 years. The mixture of my life experiences and public service give me the insight and experience to understand how the decisions I make about government policy affect my fellow citizens.
