Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Beltran:   I believe that God has given us our gifts and intends or us to use them to help those around us. What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Beltran:   Unemployment will stay low when the government keeps taxes and regulations to a minimum and stops intervening in the economy and labor force. Large scale government efforts to the contrary fail to show any sustained or efficient long-term results.
Katt:   (Did not answer)

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Beltran:   Although flawed, existing programs generally provide adequate care to indigent. For the middle-class, any government assistance should emphasize preventative care, education, personal responsibility, and market-based solutions that require patients and providers to weigh the costs and benefits of various treatments and create an incentive for each to minimize these costs consistent with adequate care. Except in dire emergencies, individuals should be informed of the costs of the care and insurance coverage in advance so that they may give informed consent to the treatment and any fees associated therewith.
Katt:   (Did not answer)

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Beltran:   Government should provide its core services as efficiently as possible and return any excess funds to the taxpayer in the form of reduced taxes. Government should limit regulations to the maximum extent possible. The citizens know better than government how to spend their money and boost the economy.
Katt:   (Did not answer)

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Beltran:   I have studied constitutional law at Harvard Law School and worked for some of the world's most powerful law firms. I have shown a long record of public service, from my work as an Eagle Scout, to my clerkship with a Federal Judge, to my service as a Judicial Nominating Commissioner. I have been a practicing constitutional and business litigator for a decade, and have operated a successful law practice business for five years. I understand government and business and the proper role of each.
